Is Accutane Worth The Risk?

How does Accutane work?

Accutane is a vitamin A derivative taken orally. It is typically prescribed to treat moderate to severe acne, particularly when scarring is present, or acne that has not responded well to other treatments. It is also used in some cases to prevent skin cancer and treat other forms of cancer.

The main ingredient of Accutane is Isotretinoin, a synthetic Vitamin A (retinoid), and works by targeting multiple factors that contribute to acne development, such as:
