Sciton Moxi oX5 Laser

The Sciton Moxi oX5 Laser is a highly effective anti-aging device suitable for all skin types. It is the only laser that is safe for treating all skin types for post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIH), making it one of our most popular non-invasive cosmetic procedures. It revitalizes and corrects common skin concerns with minimal downtime and is the easy way to “prejuvenate” your skin. Patients looking for a gentle way to address aging skin and correct bothersome discoloration can expect dramatic results from this non-ablative laser technology.

Whether you’re trying to prevent early signs of sun damage or correct large pores or visible markers of photo-aging, Moxi laser treatments can be customized accordingly.

Moxi Laser Before & After

How Does Moxi Laser Treatment Work?

The Moxi laser delivers fractionated non-ablative laser energy directly below the skin’s surface to promote healing and collagen production. The velocity is precisely controlled, allowing each treatment to be fine-tuned for those who want to refresh or revitalize mature and sun-damaged skin.

What Conditions Does the Sciton Moxi Laser Treat?

Unlike more aggressive ablative lasers, Moxi can safely and effectively treat post-inflammatory pigmentation in patients with all skin types. It is a versatile skin resurfacing laser that is excellent for younger patients looking to ward off premature signs of aging. It provides textural and tonal improvements without extensive downtime.

Our patients can expect significant improvement in the following:

  • Unwanted pigment
  • Light sun damage
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Textural irregularities
  • Dull skin
  • Fine lines
  • Large pores
  • Melasma
  • Actinic keratosis

Why is Moxi Safe for All Skin Types?

Moxi is a low-level laser developed to help patients, including those with darker skin types (Fitzpatrick Scale IV, V & VI), battle signs of visible aging. Sciton’s Moxi laser gently eliminates sunspots and melasma without causing post-inflammatory pigmentation. This revolutionary technology is an effective rejuvenating tool for people with fair or darker skin tones who want to achieve a healthy, glowing complexion.

Can Moxi Be Combined with Other Lasers?

Yes! By combining the Moxi laser with the BBL HERO, patients can realize excellent results without additional downtime. This powerhouse combo addresses all types of skin concerns--from unwanted pigment to rough skin--and promises a brighter, smoother, and more youthful complexion. Large areas can be treated anywhere on the body in just minutes, and post-care is simple. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after the treatment. Together, Moxi and BBL Hero pack a synergistic punch for glowing and radiant skin

Who’s a Good Candidate for Moxi Laser Treatments?

Patients of all skin tones and types looking to refresh their complexion, correct post-inflammatory pigmentation, or improve tone and texture are good candidates for Moxi laser treatments. This fractionated treatment can be customized to correct specific concerns and is the easiest way to achieve glowing skin with minimal downtime.

What to Expect with a Moxi Treatment?

This non-ablative laser is gentle enough to be used any time of year. Though anesthetic isn’t necessary for this “lunchtime” rejuvenating treatment, we generally use a topical numbing cream beforehand to ensure patient comfort. Treatment times are usually less than 20 minutes but may be longer if the chest, arms, or other areas of the body are being treated.

Afterward, patients may experience mild redness, swelling, and a sandpaper-like texture in the treated areas.

Minimal Downtime? IS there Aftercare?

Moxi treatments are gentle, but the skin will be sensitive afterward. For this reason, we recommend avoiding makeup or topical products for 24 hours. During the first few days, it’s essential to keep the skin moisturized as the body regenerates new, healthy skin cells. Redness and swelling dissipate quickly, and impressive results are noticeable within four to five days. As always, using broad-spectrum sunscreen is imperative to protect skin from UV damage.

How Many Laser Treatments Will I Need?

Most patients will benefit from a series of 4-5 Moxi laser sessions spaced one month apart. Yearly touch-ups can help maintain youthful results. Moxi may be paired with injectable fillers, BBL photofacials, and other cosmetic treatments offered in our Dallas office.
