Genius RF Microneedling

Dallas Dermatology Partners is excited to bring Genius RF Microneedling to our Dallas-area patients. This FDA-approved device combines fractional radiofrequency energy with microneedling to optimize skin tightening with rejuvenating results. Improve the health and appearance of sun-damaged and lax skin with this cutting-edge treatment that has minimal to no downtime.

Before & After Genius Microneedling

Genius RF Microneedling is an effective skin tightening treatment that improves firmness and texture. The system uses ultra-fine needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, as fractional radiofrequency energy is passed through the tiny channels. These processes work in tandem to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.

The system features an intelligent handpiece that adjusts RF penetration depth according to skin thickness and texture. In this way, the procedure is truly customized for each individual.

This non-invasive skin tightening procedure can be used on the face, neck, and body to address skin laxity and a number of other common concerns. Whether you need knee skin tightening or have crepey skin under the jawline, Genius RF microneedling is proven to treat:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Arms
  • Décolletage
  • Thighs
  • Stomach
  • Buttocks

The Genius microneedling system induces the body’s own healing mechanisms to create anti-aging skin proteins to improve skin elasticity and firmness. Besides neck and arm skin tightening, the device can improve the appearance of:

  • Rough texture
  • Superficial scars
  • Large pores
  • Fine lines

The system’s sophisticated RF delivery makes this a versatile tool for both face tightening procedures and acne scarring treatment.

As noted, the Genius skin tightening procedure uses ultra-fine needles and is not particularly painful. Patients can have topical numbing or Pro-Nox (laughing gas) if desired and are fine to drive themselves home after the treatment.

Genius RF microneedling is safe for patients of all skin types and is proven to rejuvenate skin from the inside out. However, individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking Accutane, or have an active skin infection should not have radiofrequency microneedling.

This will depend on the size and location of the area being treated, but most procedures take between 20 and 50 minutes.

Genius RF microneedling side effects are mild. They include redness and mild inflammation that resolves quickly. After the treatment, there are no visible marks on the skin. The downtime is minimal, but patients can expect pink and slightly irritated skin in the area for the first day or two. Most patients are ready to resume their normal routine the day after the microneedling, but this varies.

Avoid cleansers and topical products on the treated area for 12 hours

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure for 7 days
  • Avoid retinoid products on the treated area for at least one week
  • Avoid IPL phototherapy or laser skin resurfacing on the treated area for 2 weeks

It takes time for the body to produce new collagen and elastin, so the results are not immediate. Patients may see initial improvements in skin firmness and texture within the first few months but allow 6 months for maximum results.

The majority of patients will benefit from a series of three Genius RF microneedling treatments that are spaced one month apart.
