Lutronic Derma V Laser In Dallas: Redness & Laser Vein Treatment

Redness is not always just redness. Sometimes we are treating the diffuse flushing associated with rosacea. Other times, the concern is a cluster of broken blood vessels, a noticeable facial vein, or spider veins on the legs.

At Dallas Dermatology Partners, our board-certified dermatologists offer the Lutronic Derma V laser at our Addison office for patients throughout Dallas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area. DermaV gives us a precise way to treat visible blood vessels, persistent redness, rosacea-related vascular changes, certain leg veins, and selected pigmentation.

For appropriate vessels, DermaV may also offer a noninvasive, injection-free alternative to sclerotherapy.

Laser Treatment for Redness and Rosacea

A laser treatment for redness can directly target blood vessels contributing to a persistently red appearance. This can be particularly helpful when redness is associated with visible vessels that topical skin care cannot address.

For patients with rosacea, DermaV can target some of the vascular changes responsible for persistent redness. A laser treatment for rosacea does not cure the condition, however. Rosacea is chronic and may also require prescription treatment, appropriate skin care, sun protection, and trigger management.

That is one reason we like treating these concerns within a dermatology practice. We can look beyond the redness itself and decide whether laser treatment should be one part of a broader plan.

DermaV for Broken Blood Vessels and Leg Veins

DermaV delivers laser energy through the skin to target appropriate visible vessels without an incision or an injection into the vessel.

For certain small veins, this makes DermaV an alternative to the sclerotherapy Dallas patients may already be familiar with. Some patients prefer this injection-free approach or find it more comfortable.

Laser treatment does not replace sclerotherapy in every situation. Larger or symptomatic leg veins may require a different evaluation or treatment. We look at the vessel's size, depth, location, and appearance before recommending the right approach.

Combining DermaV With BBL

Sometimes redness is coming from more than one source. A patient may have diffuse flushing along with several stubborn, clearly visible vessels.

In those cases, we may combine DermaV with BroadBand Light Therapy in Dallas. BBL can be helpful for diffuse redness, pigmentation, and photodamage, while DermaV allows us to more precisely target individual vascular lesions.

We think of combination treatment as choosing the right tool for each part of the problem—not simply doing more treatment. Depending on your skin, we may recommend DermaV, BBL, or a thoughtful combination of the two.

What Should I Expect From DermaV Treatment?

Treatment length depends on the size and number of areas being addressed. During the procedure, you may feel brief heat, tingling, or a snapping sensation. DermaV's built-in cryogen cooling helps cool the skin and improve comfort.

Many patients have relatively little downtime. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, bruising, or changes in the color of a treated lesion can occur.

Some patients notice improvement after one session, while others need a series. Results may continue to develop over the following days and weeks as the body processes treated vessels or pigmentation.

We do not give every patient the same treatment schedule. The number of sessions depends on what we are treating, vessel size and depth, treatment area, and how your skin responds.

Maintenance may also be helpful over time. Successfully treating a vessel does not prevent new vessels from developing, and chronic conditions such as rosacea can continue to cause redness.

Preparing for Your Treatment

We will give you instructions specific to your procedure, but preparation may include avoiding tanning and excessive sun exposure, using broad-spectrum sunscreen, and reviewing your medications, supplements, and skin care products with us.

After treatment, gentle skin care and sun protection are important. We may also recommend temporarily avoiding excessive heat, vigorous exercise, or irritating products.

Never discontinue a prescription medication unless instructed by the healthcare professional managing it.

Why Choose Dallas Dermatology Partners for DermaV?

Redness, visible vessels, and pigmentation may look like straightforward cosmetic concerns, but they are not always purely cosmetic. Persistent redness may be related to rosacea or another skin condition, while a brown spot may need medical evaluation before anyone attempts to remove it.

Our approach starts with understanding what we are treating.

Our board-certified dermatologists evaluate your skin first and then decide which technology makes sense. DermaV may be the right answer. BBL may be better. A combination may make sense—or we may recommend something else entirely.

That individualized approach is an important part of how we care for our patients at Dallas Dermatology Partners.
